Job Brief
As a Wire Rigger, you will be responsible for setting up and repairing rigging systems across various sectors, including construction projects, manufacturing plants, logging yards, shipyards, and the entertainment industry. Responsibilities
- Install and maintain rigging systems for diverse applications, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Inspect rigging equipment and materials for wear and damage, performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine rigging specifications and requirements.
- Utilize various lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and pulleys, to facilitate efficient operations.
- Develop and implement rigging plans that maximize safety and efficiency for all projects.
- Train and supervise junior riggers and laborers in rigging techniques and safety practices.
- Monitor job site conditions and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Document rigging activities and maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wire Rigger or in a similar role within the construction, manufacturing, or entertainment industries.
- In-depth knowledge of rigging techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Certification in rigging, lifting, or hoisting operations is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy lifting and demanding work conditions.
