Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Wire Fence Builder to join our team, responsible for erecting and repairing various types of wire fencing and fence gates. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both hand and power tools, demonstrating expertise in fence construction and repair. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew to ensure high-quality fence installations that meet client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair wire fencing and gates in residential, commercial, and agricultural settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to determine fencing requirements.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete fencing projects.
- Measure and mark fence lines, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during all phases of construction.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding fencing solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections of installed fences to identify maintenance needs and perform necessary repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wire Fence Builder or similar role in the construction or landscaping industry.
- Strong knowledge of fencing materials, techniques, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to fence construction.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various outdoor conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in construction or fencing are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
