Responsibilities

- Conduct outreach programs to educate veterans about available resources and services.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to facilitate veterans’ access to benefits.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy for veterans facing challenges related to their service.
- Stay updated on changes in veterans’ laws and policies to ensure accurate guidance.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Strong understanding of veterans’ benefits, services, and eligibility criteria.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client advocacy.
- Experience in case management or social services is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in using case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification as a Veterans Service Officer is a plus.
- Passion for helping veterans and a commitment to public service.
