Responsibilities
- Operate tractors and other agricultural equipment to perform tilling, planting, and harvesting activities.
- Control equipment for feeding and herding livestock effectively.
- Manage crop baling and hay bucking processes to maximize productivity.
- Utilize stationary equipment for post-harvest tasks such as husking, shelling, threshing, and ginning.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in monitoring crop and livestock health to optimize farm outputs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in agriculture or machinery operation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tractor Operator or in a similar role within the agricultural sector.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with agricultural machinery and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and applicable certifications for operating heavy machinery.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices, safety regulations, and equipment maintenance.
