Job Brief

The Tractor Operator plays a crucial role in supporting agricultural operations by driving and controlling various types of equipment. Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors and other agricultural equipment to perform tilling, planting, and harvesting activities.
  • Control equipment for feeding and herding livestock effectively.
  • Manage crop baling and hay bucking processes to maximize productivity.
  • Utilize stationary equipment for post-harvest tasks such as husking, shelling, threshing, and ginning.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in monitoring crop and livestock health to optimize farm outputs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in agriculture or machinery operation preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Tractor Operator or in a similar role within the agricultural sector.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with agricultural machinery and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and applicable certifications for operating heavy machinery.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of agricultural practices, safety regulations, and equipment maintenance.
