Job Brief
The Tool Room Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the tool room, directly supervising production and operating workers. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of tool room personnel, including inspectors, machine setters, and operators.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning and maintenance.
- Collaborate with management to develop production schedules and resource allocation plans.
- Maintain accurate records of tool usage, maintenance, and inventory levels.
- Resolve production-related issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tool Room Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tool maintenance, and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
