Job Brief
As a Tape Editor, you will play a critical role in the post-production process by editing moving images on film, video, or other digital media formats. Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble recorded footage into a coherent and engaging final product.
- Collaborate with producers and directors to understand project vision and requirements.
- Synchronize audio tracks with visual media, maintaining high-quality sound and picture alignment.
- Utilize editing software to enhance video quality, including color correction and sound editing.
- Review and refine edited content based on feedback from producers and directors.
- Maintain organized archives of footage and edited materials for easy retrieval and reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends in video editing and production techniques.
- Ensure all projects meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tape Editor or similar role in video production.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of storytelling through visual media.
- Knowledge of sound editing techniques and audio synchronization principles.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A degree in Film, Video Production, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
