Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain ice resurfacing machines to prepare and restore ice surfaces.
  • Monitor ice conditions and adjust machinery settings as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on resurfacing equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with rink staff to schedule resurfacing operations around events and public skating sessions.
  • Keep accurate records of resurfacing activities and maintenance performed.
  • Assist in snow removal and other ice maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery, preferably in an ice rink or similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs.
  • Knowledge of ice maintenance techniques and equipment safety standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
