As an Ice Resurfacing Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe and high-quality ice surfaces for recreational and competitive skating. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain ice resurfacing machines to prepare and restore ice surfaces.
- Monitor ice conditions and adjust machinery settings as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on resurfacing equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with rink staff to schedule resurfacing operations around events and public skating sessions.
- Keep accurate records of resurfacing activities and maintenance performed.
- Assist in snow removal and other ice maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery, preferably in an ice rink or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs.
- Knowledge of ice maintenance techniques and equipment safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
