Job Brief
The Hydraulic Press Operator is responsible for efficiently operating hydraulic press machinery to shape, cut, and form materials for various construction applications. Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic press equipment to perform pressing, shaping, and cutting of materials in compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure optimal performance and quality outputs.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Document production data and machine performance metrics for quality assurance and reporting purposes.
- Train and mentor junior operators on proper machinery operation and safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machinery operation or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Hydraulic Press Operator or similar role in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and machinery operation, including safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle machinery and perform manual tasks as required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
