Job Brief
The Home Lighting Adviser is responsible for planning, designing, and furnishing interior spaces to create aesthetically pleasing and functional environments. This role requires an understanding of lighting design principles, space planning, and client needs assessment. Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations with clients to assess their lighting needs and preferences.
- Develop lighting plans that align with interior design concepts and client objectives.
- Create physical layouts that ensure optimal light distribution and energy efficiency.
- Research and recommend lighting products, fixtures, and technologies that suit the design vision.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to implement lighting designs during construction or renovation projects.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices in interior lighting design.
- Prepare and present design proposals, including technical specifications and cost estimates.
- Provide ongoing support and advice to clients post-installation to ensure satisfaction with lighting solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in interior lighting design or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of lighting design software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to lighting and interior design.
- Certifications such as LEED or NCIDQ are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
