Job Brief
As a Helicopter Search and Rescue Aircrew Swimmer, you will play a critical role in executing search and rescue missions, combat operations, and reconnaissance tasks. This position demands extensive experience in aircraft operations, proficient use of communication and detection equipment, and a strong understanding of safety and emergency procedures. Responsibilities
- Perform in-flight duties to support combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions.
- Operate and maintain aircraft communications and detection equipment, including satellite linkages.
- Conduct preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment and systems.
- Execute the operation and maintenance of aircraft weapons and defensive systems.
- Implement aircraft in-flight refueling systems to ensure mission readiness.
- Execute aircraft safety and emergency procedures to protect crew and passengers.
- Compute and verify weight and balance data for passengers, cargo, fuel, and emergency equipment.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops as part of mission objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an aircrew swimmer or in a related aviation role.
- Strong understanding of aircraft operations and safety protocols.
- Certification in emergency medical response or equivalent training.
- Experience with aircraft communication systems and navigation tools.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adverse conditions.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks in varied environments.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Completion of military or specialized training relevant to search and rescue operations is preferred.
