Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, central air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. With expertise in oil burners, hot-air furnaces, and heating stoves, the HVAC Mechanic will ensure optimal system performance and reliability. The successful candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of HVAC technologies, and relevant certifications.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and propose effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to enhance efficiency and longevity.
- Conduct inspections and tests on HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Replace faulty components and make necessary adjustments to optimize system performance.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on HVAC equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by educating clients on system operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanic or similar role in the HVAC industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
- Relevant HVAC certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608, NATE) are highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
