Job Brief
The Heat Transfer Technician plays a critical role in applying mechanical engineering principles to modify, develop, test, and adjust machinery and equipment. Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments and simulations to analyze heat transfer processes and improve system performance.
- Modify existing heating and cooling systems based on engineering specifications and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement new heat transfer solutions.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of thermal systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Document findings and prepare reports on heat transfer system performance and modifications.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment used in heat transfer analysis and testing.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all technical operations.
- Assist in the training of junior technicians and engineers on heat transfer methodologies.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in heat transfer analysis and thermodynamics.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software for thermal simulations (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in engineering environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to team members and stakeholders.
- Certifications in HVAC systems or thermal analysis are a plus.
