The Gwot Support Assignment Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) role is essential for ensuring operational readiness and effectiveness in combat environments. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain counter rocket artillery and mortar systems to ensure optimal performance in combat scenarios.
- Conduct targeting and firing operations to eliminate enemy threats effectively.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on weapons and related equipment, ensuring reliability and safety.
- Test, inspect, and store ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes in compliance with safety protocols.
- Establish and maintain radio and wire communications for coordination with team members.
- Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other military personnel to plan and execute artillery fire missions.
- Document and report maintenance activities and operational readiness status as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in artillery systems preferred.
- Experience with weapon systems, including guns, cannons, howitzers, missiles, and rockets.
- Strong technical skills in weapons maintenance and operation of targeting systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
- Familiarity with military protocols and safety standards regarding munitions.
- Valid military certification for operating artillery systems is a plus.
