Job Brief
As a Goldsmith, you will design, fabricate, adjust, and repair jewelry and related products using precious metals and gems. Responsibilities
- Design and create custom jewelry pieces from precious metals such as gold and silver.
- Fabricate jewelry using techniques like soldering, casting, and stone setting.
- Repair and adjust existing jewelry to meet customer specifications.
- Polish and finish jewelry items to achieve the desired aesthetic quality.
- Appraise and evaluate the quality of gems and precious metals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by advising clients on jewelry selection and care.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to enhance craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Goldsmith or in a similar role within the jewelry industry.
- Strong knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and jewelry-making techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in goldsmithing.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Relevant certifications in jewelry design or goldsmithing are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
