Job Brief
The General Maintenance Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of buildings and equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Execute repair tasks on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Install, align, and balance new equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct carpentry work including repairs and installations of doors, windows, and other fixtures.
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed to maintain machinery and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform emergency repairs when necessary.
- Document maintenance activities and report on the condition of equipment and facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance-related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in general maintenance, with proficiency in multiple trades.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment, including power tools and hand tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely.
