Responsibilities
- Efficiently service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collect payments for services rendered and provide accurate receipts to customers.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, refilling antifreeze, and replacing wiper blades.
- Assist customers with tire repairs or replacements as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fueling area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with vehicle-related concerns.
- Monitor fuel stock levels and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding fuel handling and environmental safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a gas pump attendant or in a similar automotive service role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Ability to operate fuel dispensing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Certification in hazardous materials handling is a plus.
