Job Brief
As a Gantry Rigger, you will be responsible for setting up and repairing rigging systems essential for various construction projects, manufacturing plants, logging yards, ships, shipyards, and the entertainment industry. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain gantry cranes and rigging systems for various applications.
- Inspect rigging equipment for defects and wear, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan and execute lifting operations.
- Guide and coordinate the movement of heavy loads to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rigging equipment as necessary.
- Document and report any incidents or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe work environment.
- Provide training and support to junior riggers and other team members as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Gantry Rigger or in a similar rigging role.
- In-depth knowledge of rigging techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Certification in rigging or crane operation (e.g., NCCCO, API, or equivalent).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads safely.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in rigging operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Willingness to work in various settings, including outdoor and hazardous environments.
