Job Brief
As a Gage Designer, you will be responsible for developing precise working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed working diagrams for gages, fixtures, and other mechanical devices.
- Conduct dimensional analysis and ensure adherence to engineering specifications.
- Utilize CAD software to create and modify design drawings accurately.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Evaluate design feasibility and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Prepare documentation and reports to communicate design specifications and changes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all designs.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in gage design, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices is a plus.
