Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of forest conditions, including soil and water quality.
- Compile and analyze data on forest size, composition, and ecosystem health.
- Support foresters and conservation scientists in implementing land management practices.
- Train and supervise forest workers in effective forest propagation techniques.
- Implement fire prevention strategies and assist in wildfire suppression efforts.
- Participate in habitat restoration projects to enhance wildlife conservation.
- Conduct field surveys and prepare reports on forest conditions and resource management.
- Collaborate with other environmental professionals to promote sustainable forestry practices.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Experience in forest management, conservation practices, or field surveys.
- Strong knowledge of forest ecology, wildlife habitats, and soil conservation techniques.
- Proficient in using GIS and data collection tools for environmental analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Certification in Wildland Firefighting or equivalent is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform fieldwork in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote sites as needed.
