Job Brief
As a Food Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of food and beverage products. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting standardized qualitative and quantitative tests to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of food products. You will collaborate closely with food scientists and technologists in the research and development of production technology, quality control measures, and packaging processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in food science, quality assurance, and laboratory testing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative tests on food and beverage samples to assess quality and safety.
- Collaborate with food scientists and technologists on research and development projects.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the food production process.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
- Assist in the development and validation of new food processing technologies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in sensory analysis and consumer testing as required.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper documentation of testing protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in food quality assurance or laboratory testing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in laboratory testing techniques and equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software is a plus.
