Job Brief

As a Florist, you will be responsible for designing, cutting, and arranging live, dried, or artificial flowers and foliage to create beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions. The ideal candidate will possess strong artistic skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of floral design principles. Proven experience in the floral industry, along with excellent customer service abilities, will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create custom floral arrangements for weddings, events, and special occasions.
  • Cut and prepare flowers and foliage to ensure freshness and longevity.
  • Maintain and manage floral inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting floral designs that meet their needs.
  • Arrange flowers in various styles and techniques, including bouquets, centerpieces, and wreaths.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including tools and equipment.
  • Stay current with industry trends and techniques to enhance floral design skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill large orders and special requests efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Florist or in a related floral design role.
  • Strong knowledge of floral design techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work creatively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for aesthetics in floral arrangements.
  • Basic knowledge of plant care and maintenance.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as required.
  • Formal education in floral design or related fields is a plus.
