Job Brief
The Flight Engineer, Performance Qualified is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of various aircraft missions, including combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue operations. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in operating aircraft systems and equipment, as well as strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aviation operations, with a solid understanding of in-flight duties, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor aircraft communications and detection systems, including satellite linkages and enemy communication jamming.
- Conduct thorough preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems for mission effectiveness.
- Handle in-flight refueling operations and equipment to support extended mission capabilities.
- Execute aircraft safety and emergency procedures to safeguard crew and mission integrity.
- Compute and verify weight and balance data for passengers, cargo, fuel, and emergency equipment.
- Perform cargo and personnel drops accurately and efficiently during missions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Flight Engineer or in a similar aviation role.
- Technical proficiency with aircraft systems, communications, and weapons platforms.
- Certification as a Flight Engineer, with relevant military or civilian qualifications preferred.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Familiarity with aircraft weight and balance computations.
