Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Feed Research Technician to support agricultural scientists in conducting innovative research in plant, fiber, and animal studies. The ideal candidate will possess experience in laboratory settings and a strong understanding of animal breeding and nutrition. This role involves setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment, collecting samples from crops or animals, and preparing specimens to assist in biological experiments aimed at improving yield, quality, and disease resistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist agricultural scientists in the planning and execution of research projects related to animal nutrition and crop quality.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment for various experiments.
- Collect and prepare samples from crops and animals for analysis.
- Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of different feed formulations on animal health and productivity.
- Record and analyze data accurately to support ongoing research initiatives.
- Prepare reports and documentation summarizing research findings and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in laboratory practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance research outcomes and address challenges in agricultural science.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Animal Science, Agronomy, Biology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with animal breeding, nutrition, and crop management practices.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data collection and analysis software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey research findings effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in laboratory settings is preferred.
