Job Brief
As a Feed Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of agricultural, forestry, aquacultural, and related workers to ensure the effective management of feed production and distribution. This role requires a deep understanding of animal nutrition, feed formulation, and supply chain logistics. You will be responsible for optimizing feed efficiency and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of feed production and distribution to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Coordinate with agricultural workers to manage feed inventory and maintain production schedules.
- Implement and monitor feed quality control processes to comply with industry standards.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve feed formulations for enhanced animal health and productivity.
- Conduct training sessions for staff to ensure adherence to best practices in feed management.
- Analyze feed costs and develop budgetary plans to optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Maintain accurate records of feed production, inventory levels, and quality assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in feed management or related agricultural roles.
- Strong understanding of animal nutrition and feed formulation techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in feed production.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and data analysis tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Certifications in feed management or animal nutrition are a plus.
