Job Brief
As an Environmental Engineering Technologist, you will apply the principles and theories of environmental engineering to design, modify, and operate equipment aimed at the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental issues. This role involves working closely with engineering staff and scientists to implement waste treatment and site remediation processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of environmental regulations, and the ability to develop innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tests and evaluations of environmental engineering equipment and devices.
- Assist in the modification and optimization of systems for waste treatment and site remediation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Collect and analyze data to inform project decisions and improve remediation processes.
- Support the development and implementation of new environmental remediation technologies.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing project findings and recommendations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot environmental monitoring instruments and equipment.
- Participate in fieldwork for site assessments and environmental impact studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Experience in environmental testing, waste management, or remediation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and environmental modeling tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Certification as an Engineering Technologist (CET) is preferred.
