Responsibilities

  • Operate ambulances and other emergency vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the transport of patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
  • Collaborate with emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics to provide essential patient care.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure operational readiness.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and emergency response protocols during transport.
  • Assist in lifting and moving patients using proper techniques to minimize injury.
  • Document transport details, including patient conditions and any incidents during transit.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ambulance and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in emergency medical services is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; certification as an EMS driver preferred.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification; additional emergency medical certifications are advantageous.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience in emergency medical services or a related field is preferred.
