Job Brief

As an Elocutionist, you will engage audiences by performing in various mediums, including stage, television, radio, video, and film. Your primary responsibilities will involve interpreting both serious and comedic roles through speech, gesture, and body movement. A successful Elocutionist will possess strong vocal skills, an ability to convey emotions, and a knack for storytelling, ultimately enhancing the entertainment or instructional experience for your audience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in front of live audiences or on film, delivering engaging interpretations of diverse roles.
  • Utilize vocal techniques and diction to convey clear and impactful messages.
  • Incorporate movement, gesture, and body language to enhance performance and storytelling.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and fellow performers to ensure cohesive presentations.
  • Participate in rehearsals to refine performances and receive constructive feedback.
  • Adapt performances for different formats, including live events, recordings, and educational settings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in elocution, acting, or a related performing arts field.
  • Strong vocal abilities, including clarity, modulation, and expressiveness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with various performance styles and genres.
  • Ability to interpret scripts and embody characters authentically.
  • Basic knowledge of stagecraft and production processes.
