Job Brief

The Electro Plater is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining plating machines to coat metal or plastic products with various metals such as chromium, zinc, copper, cadmium, and nickel. This role requires expertise in electroplating techniques and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality surface protection and decoration. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a background in manufacturing or metal finishing, and the ability to work effectively in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate plating machines for optimal performance.
  • Operate plating equipment to coat products with specified metals.
  • Immerse products in molten metal or electrolytic solutions safely.
  • Monitor plating processes to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plating machinery.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during operations.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure coated products meet specifications.
  • Document production data and maintain accurate records of plating activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electroplating preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Electro Plater or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with electroplating processes and metal finishing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
