Job Brief
The Electrical Maintenance Worker is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems and adherence to relevant codes and safety regulations. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills, relevant certifications, and experience in servicing various electrical installations, such as street lights and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in compliance with safety standards and local codes.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Service and repair street lights, intercom systems, and electrical control systems as needed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to address electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Document all work performed, including maintenance logs and reports on completed tasks.
- Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies and best practices to enhance skills and performance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical maintenance preferred.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Worker or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety codes.
- Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid electrician’s license or relevant certifications is a plus.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various environments.
