Job Brief
The Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer is responsible for examining, evaluating, and investigating compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding equal employment opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of contract compliance, permits, and licensing standards. The EEO Officer will conduct investigations, analyze compliance reports, and provide guidance on best practices to ensure a fair and equitable workplace. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of complaints related to EEO violations, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Evaluate compliance with licensing and contract requirements to maintain organizational integrity.
- Analyze data and prepare detailed reports on EEO compliance and enforcement activities.
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop strategies for preventing discrimination and promoting equal opportunity.
- Provide training and resources to employees and management on EEO policies and procedures.
- Stay current on changes in EEO laws and best practices to ensure organizational compliance.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies, facilitating effective communication.
- Monitor and assess the impact of EEO initiatives and recommend improvements as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in EEO compliance, investigations, or related regulatory fields.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EEO laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in EEO compliance or related fields is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software.
