The Driller Helper plays a crucial role in supporting extraction craft workers, including earth drillers, blasters, and mining machine operators. Responsibilities
- Assist drilling and extraction teams by providing necessary tools and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow instructions from skilled workers to perform basic tasks related to drilling operations.
- Help monitor drilling processes and report any irregularities to the supervisor.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Support the setup and teardown of drilling equipment as required.
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery under the supervision of experienced personnel.
- Assist in the transportation of materials and equipment to and from the site.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in drilling operations is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of drilling equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
- Willingness to undertake training and learn from experienced workers.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation of equipment.
- Certifications in OSHA or safety training are advantageous.
