Job Brief
The Division Officer, Weapons Department (Gunnery) is responsible for managing personnel and overseeing weapons operations to effectively neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. This role requires significant expertise in planning and executing the tactical deployment of field artillery and air defense missile systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of fire control communications systems, and experience in targeting and launching intercontinental ballistic missiles. Proficiency in managing the storage and handling of nuclear munitions, as well as ensuring the security of weapons facilities, is also essential to this role.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate tactical deployments of field artillery and air defense missile systems.
- Direct operations of fire control communications systems to ensure effective targeting.
- Oversee the targeting and launching of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
- Manage the storage, handling, and security of nuclear munitions and components.
- Ensure maintenance and operational readiness of all weapons systems.
- Develop and implement training programs for personnel regarding weapons operations and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other military divisions to optimize joint operational capabilities.
- Conduct regular assessments of weapons systems and facilities to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Military Science, Defense Studies, or Engineering.
- Proven experience in military operations, specifically in artillery or weapons systems management.
- Strong knowledge of fire control systems and missile technology.
- Familiarity with nuclear weapons protocols and security measures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities related to tactical decision-making.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications in military operations or weapons handling preferred.
