Job Brief
As a Dining Room Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Effectively manage seating arrangements and reservations to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests in choosing their seating preferences, accommodating special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and waiting space.
- Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans based on guest volume.
- Provide accurate wait times and inform guests about menu specials and events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality is a plus.
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests.
- Proficient in reservation management systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is preferred.
