Job Brief

As a Digital Cartographer, you will leverage GIS technology and advanced mapping techniques to create, analyze, and present spatial data for various applications, including legal, educational, and environmental purposes. You will be responsible for researching data sources, designing maps, and developing algorithms for efficient data processing. Responsibilities

  • Research and gather geographic data from various sources, including satellite imagery, aerial photography, and geodetic surveys.
  • Design and produce high-quality digital maps and spatial visualizations for diverse applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartography, GIS, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo) and mapping technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in spatial data analysis and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and algorithm development.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and visually appealing maps.
  • Experience in project management and teamwork within multidisciplinary environments.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of cartographic principles and best practices in data visualization.
