Job Brief
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting food service and nutritional programs, working under the guidance of a licensed dietitian. Responsibilities

- Educate clients on basic food and nutrition principles, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Work collaboratively with the dietitian and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized meal plans.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and storing food supplies efficiently.
- Document and report any changes in clients’ dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge of food service operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in nutrition or food service management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a dietary aide or food service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory management.
- Culinary skills and knowledge of meal prep techniques are advantageous.
- Certification in food handling or safety (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
