Job Brief

As a Deaf Interpreter, you will facilitate effective communication between Deaf and hearing individuals by interpreting spoken language into sign language and vice versa. This role requires a high level of fluency in both sign language and the spoken language, along with an understanding of cultural nuances. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Deaf Interpreter with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Certification in American Sign Language (ASL) or equivalent sign language certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Deaf culture and community practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality in all assignments.
  • Familiarity with assistive communication technologies and tools.
  • Flexibility to work in various settings, including remote and in-person assignments.
