Job Brief

As a Daycare Provider, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and supervising children in various settings, including schools, private households, and childcare institutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children while engaging them in educational and recreational activities. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for child development, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster a positive and stimulating environment. Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, promoting their social and emotional growth.
  • Assist with daily routines, including dressing, feeding, and bathing as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor children’s behavior and provide guidance to encourage positive interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
  • Plan and implement activities that promote learning and development, including arts and crafts, games, and storytelling.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s activities and progress.
  • Respond promptly to children’s needs and emergencies, demonstrating compassion and understanding.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in early childhood development is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Daycare Provider or in a similar childcare role.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
  • Background check clearance is required.
