Job Brief

As a Dance Master, you will be responsible for creating innovative and captivating dance routines that engage and inspire performers and audiences alike. You will lead rehearsals, coach dancers, and oversee the staging of performances. Responsibilities

  • Create original dance routines that align with artistic vision and performance objectives.
  • Conduct rehearsals, providing constructive feedback to dancers to enhance their skills.
  • Direct and stage dance presentations, ensuring seamless integration of choreography and performance elements.
  • Collaborate with other artists, choreographers, and production staff to develop cohesive performances.
  • Evaluate dancer performances and make adjustments to choreography as necessary.
  • Maintain a positive and motivating atmosphere during rehearsals and performances.
  • Organize auditions and select dancers based on skill level and fit for specific routines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into choreography and teaching methods.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a dance instructor or choreographer in various dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing original choreography and performance history.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate dancers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of dance theory, techniques, and performance practices.
  • Certification in dance or related fields is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for evening and weekend rehearsals and performances.
