Job Brief
As a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), you will play a crucial role in assessing, treating, and managing patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and monitor patient progress.
- Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Supervise and mentor respiratory therapy technicians in delivering quality patient care.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care strategies.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and disease management.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in respiratory therapy.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from an accredited body.
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a clinical environment, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in operating respiratory equipment such as ventilators and nebulizers.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care protocols and patient assessment techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
