Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Authorizer to join our team. Responsibilities
- Authorize credit charges against customers’ accounts based on established guidelines.
- Investigate and analyze the financial history and credit standing of individuals or businesses applying for credit.
- Conduct interviews with credit applicants to gather personal and financial information.
- Evaluate credit applications and determine the creditworthiness of applicants.
- Process credit applications efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Notify customers of the acceptance or rejection of their credit applications promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of credit authorizations and applicant information.
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance credit assessment processes and policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Credit Authorizer or in a similar role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of credit assessment techniques and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in using credit assessment software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma required; a degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with customer service practices and conflict resolution techniques.
