Job Brief
As a Crating And Moving Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or various services. Responsibilities
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Evaluate labor, material, and overhead costs to provide accurate pricing for products or services.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to gather relevant data and insights for estimating purposes.
- Prepare and present comprehensive estimates to management for review and approval.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitive and profitable estimates.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, including methodologies, calculations, and revisions.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies throughout the estimating process.
- Assist in developing and refining estimating tools and software for improved accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a cost estimator in the crating, moving, or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Certification from a recognized estimating or project management organization is a plus.
