Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Develop, propose, and enact legislation to address community needs and improve local governance.
- Conduct public meetings and forums to gather input from constituents and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with government officials, agencies, and community organizations to advocate for policies and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented laws and programs.
- Prepare and present reports on legislative issues and community concerns to the council and public.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in public service, community organizing, or legislative affairs.
- Strong understanding of local, state, or federal legislative processes and public policy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and build strong community relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with research methods and data analysis related to public policy.
- Commitment to ethical governance and community service.
