Job Brief
As a Concrete Mason, you will play a critical role in constructing and finishing various concrete surfaces, including floors, sidewalks, roads, and curbs. This position requires a strong understanding of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques, as well as proficiency in using hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up forms for concrete pours, including sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete to ensure high-quality results.
- Align forms and patch voids as needed to maintain structural integrity.
- Utilize saws to cut expansion joints and ensure proper concrete movement.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to execute concrete projects accurately.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety regulations and practices while performing all tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Mason or in a similar masonry role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete properties, mixing ratios, and curing processes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for site travel.
