Job Brief

As a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precise components from various materials including metal, plastic, and wood. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong technical skills, ensuring that all manufactured parts meet strict specifications and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have experience with CNC programming, setup, and troubleshooting, as well as a strong understanding of machining processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision parts and components according to specifications.
  • Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC milling machines to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Milling Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
  • Proficiency in using CNC machine tools and related equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and inspection processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CAD/CAM software are advantageous.
