Job Brief
The Coil Winder is responsible for winding wire coils utilized in electrical components such as resistors, transformers, and various electrical equipment including motors, generators, and control instruments. Responsibilities
- Operate coil winding machines to produce wire coils for electrical components efficiently and accurately.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine winding requirements.
- Monitor winding processes to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect finished coils for defects and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety in the workplace.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve winding techniques and processes.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while working in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical engineering or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Coil Winder or similar role in the manufacturing or electrical industry.
- Strong understanding of winding processes and electrical components.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot winding machines and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurement and calculations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing setting.
