Job Brief
The Chop Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending wood sawing machines to produce high-quality cuts for various woodworking projects. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate chop saws and CNC machines for optimal performance.
- Operate wood sawing machines to cut materials according to specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure precision and quality of cuts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the workshop.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in woodworking or machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a Chop Saw Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with experience operating CNC equipment a plus.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints.
- Familiarity with safety standards and machine operation protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
