As a Chiropodist, you will diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and deformities of the human foot. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of foot health to diagnose conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with foot disorders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including nail care, orthotic fittings, and wound management.
- Educate patients on proper foot care practices and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment progress.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in chiropody and podiatric medicine.
Requirements
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
- State licensure to practice chiropody or podiatric medicine.
- Experience in clinical practice, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, pathologies, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and patient management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
