Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Brick Maker to set up, operate, and maintain various machines and equipment used in the manufacturing of bricks. The ideal candidate will have experience in shaping and forming clay products, understanding the intricacies of machine operations, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process. Responsibilities
- Operate and tend machines such as plodder machines and tuber machines to produce high-quality bricks.
- Set up machinery and equipment for optimal production efficiency while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to ensure consistent product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline operations and improve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance metrics.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Brick Maker or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine operations and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards in brick manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
