Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate beveling and edging machines according to specifications.
- Operate machines to efficiently grind, polish, or edge materials such as glass, stone, or rubber.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal production levels.
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their longevity and efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Document production output and report any issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and reduce waste.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
