Job Brief

The Automotive Brake Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining braking systems in various automotive vehicles. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot brake system issues, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on brake systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Repair or replace brake components, such as pads, rotors, calipers, and brake lines.
  • Adjust and align braking systems to meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
  • Advise customers on brake system maintenance and repair needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to automotive brake systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during repair procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in automotive technology preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with automotive brake systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment related to brake system repair.
  • Certifications from recognized automotive organizations (e.g., ASE certification) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and their relation to braking systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
